During the journey, I gained valuable leadership and teamwork skills that I know will help me in the future. Working closely with others in a challenging and unfamiliar environment taught me a lot about communication, responsibility, and resilience.

This was also my first time sailing, and I was blown away by the experience. Navigating through the stunning Hauraki Gulf and seeing its amazing sights from the water was unforgettable. I met cool people, and forming new friendships with fellow voyagers was one of the most rewarding parts of the trip.

Thanks to the support from the Sean Dickey Young Leaders Trust and your belief in young people, I was able to step out of my comfort zone and grow in ways I never expected.

Once again, thank you so much for this incredible opportunity. It’s an experience I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
